About aMPV

Avian Metapneumovirus (aMPV) is a major respiratory pathogen that affects poultry, primarily turkeys and chickens, and leads to considerable economic losses in the poultry industry. Given its worldwide distribution, aMPV poses challenges for the poultry industry globally. Distinguishing aMPV from other respiratory diseases solely on clinical signs can be difficult, necessitating laboratory diagnostic tests. Given the narrow viral detection window, ELISA is an invaluable tool for diagnosing aMPV. Additionally, ELISA is widely used for monitoring immune responses post-vaccination.
